Beware of Phishing attacks , Be Careful Income Tax Department Email

Now a days the cyber criminals/hackers are using different ways and tactics of cyber crimes and hacking your bank account. Please beware of all these scam e-mails / phishing attacks which are hitting to your mailbox daily. These are all scam/fraudulent e-mails sent by bank account hackers which are asking you to put your bank account details to claim the Income Tax Refund.

The genuine Income Tax Department Website is www.incometaxindia.gov.in  but when you click to the link you are redirecting to the website which is fraudulent Income Tax Website which is created by cyber criminals/hackers.

The page you will get where you have to update your bank account information to claim the refund is redirecting to your bank website where it asking you to put your online banking user name and password or card number, bank account details, Credit card CVV number & ATM PIN etc. If you put your online banking detail then within a second your all banking information is share with cyber criminals / hackers & you will be easily hacked by the cyber criminals/hackers. After sometimes or even same day you will be in trouble with your bank account.

Note: - If you are learning then this is one of the best example of phishing  & Social Engineering attack.

NOW LET’S SEE EMAIL: -

Today I received an e-mail from “information@incometaxindia.gov.in” which was fake and had a HTML attachment with a link to a phishing site to gather all the personal information and hack into bank accounts.

The above is one of the mails you may receive in your mail box which will redirect you to the below page..BEWARE…

In the Tax Refund Online Form – all fields were compulsory to be filled – like card number, bank account details, Credit card CVV number & ATM PIN etc

This is the Official website Income Tax Deaprtment of India, see the difference

NEVER EVER GIVE YOUR DEBIT / CREDIT CARD CVV / CVV2 and EXPIRY DATE TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN TO THE BANK OR A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL NEITHER ON PHONE OR ONLINE FORM or IN ANY FORM
